Films and TV for Plex
Documentaries downloaded from archive.org, DVD images and old rips keep the names they came with. Plex and Jellyfin match by folder and file name: Movies/Title (Year)/ and TV/Show/Season 01/. Studiolo builds that tree from the originals and keeps it stable, so watch history survives.

Subtitles travel with the film
A video, its subtitles per language, its .nfo and its poster form one item and move together, so a rename never leaves a subtitle behind.
Known before it is hashed
archive.org publishes MD5 and SHA1 for every file. A source plugin can verify downloads against that list and take title, year and collection from the item metadata without reading every byte.
Watch history stays
Plex keys history by path. Each item keeps its path until you migrate it, and a rule change shows something like "312 renames in the Plex target" before you approve it.
Only files that are always there
Plex reads every file on its first scan. Only items on local or always-online disks go into its library, so a scan never spins up a pile of offline drives. After an apply, Studiolo asks Plex to rescan.
