A MiSTer SD card
A MiSTer reads games from games/<core>/ on its SD card, a FAT32 disk far smaller than the collection. Studiolo treats the card as a sync target: it picks what fits, writes it in the layout each core expects, and never touches the saves the device writes back.

MISTER.TXT
A manifest on the card
The card carries a list of the files Studiolo placed. A sync only adds or removes files on that list, so saves, save states and anything you copied by hand are never touched. A managed file that changed on the device is skipped and reported, never overwritten.
FAT32 rules built in
The fat32 profile keeps names legal, checks collisions case-insensitively, and rejects or splits files over the 4 GB limit, which matters for disc images.
A budget, filled by priority
Give the target a size and an order, such as best rated first and smaller first on ties. Studiolo fills the card up to the budget and tells you what was left out.
Or a live share
MiSTer can also mount a CIFS share. The same view can be served over SMB as a second way to deliver it, next to the SD sync.
